Areli and Mario Wedding Highlights

This is the second of two wedding videos today.  The first one was Brittney and Alex’s Wedding in Laguna beach.

Areli and Mario contacted me over a year ago to shoot their wedding. The wedding ceremony was held at St. Raymond Church in Downey CA, and the reception was at Palos Verdes, CA. This was a love story over 10 years in the making. A love that truly stood the test of time.

I love telling visual stories, whether it’s in the form of photos or videos.  Areli and Mario’s wedding was really enjoyable to shoot and edit.  Enjoy!

Tech Details (well sort of):

This is the first time I started shooting video with Micro Four Thirds as my main system.  The 5D Mark II became a backup during the ceremony with the 70-200 2.8L mounted on it for those telephoto shots.

  1. Edwin was amazing throughout the entire process, from meeting him to speaking with him after the wedding day. But he was especially great to work with on this day! He was in such a relaxed mood that it helped Mario and I stay relaxed. I remember him saying “just pretend I’m not here” It was honestly the best advice he could have given me 🙂 We felt relaxed around him and by the end of the night, we forgot he was there! He captured all the moments we wanted him to capture.  Since we received the DVD in the mail (quickly), we have watched it over and over. He caught a lot of amazing moments and edited them so well. I loved the music he put in the DVD because it was very reflective of that day 🙂 Thank you Edwin! I am so glad we found you on Thumbtack and hopefully we will work together again 🙂
